Jack - 2 years on
I've temporarily taken control of Jack's blog to share with you the following photographs, each taken exactly 1 year apart, on the 11 April each year. The apple tree that the pictures are taken by was planted in the week Jack was born in his Nanna and Grandad's garden;

dear daddy
happy burfday you happy burfday you happy burfday jack happy burfday you today i am 5 well mummy sed i am 2 but i fink i like 5 better today and nanna and grandad came and i had loads of presents to open and i can open them really quicklee and wow i got a wat and sand pit and a boat and liked singing row row boat and a vakuum cleaner but mummy sed it is a golf caddy and a football and a new coat wich i wore all morning and sum skittel fings that you stand up and hav to nock them down wiv a ball and then we all had sumfing to eat and plaid wiv my new toys and then i saw you on the computa and wow i had sum more presents and i got a tool bench and i was gud at hammering and a train set and nanna helped me build the track and there is a bridge and then i had dinna and then lots of peepel came to say happy burfday to me and there was traysi and dave and faith and i plaid wiv faith and then aunty kath and unkel duffield came and wow agen i had even more presents like my nee nar police van and my cd boom box that i can sing along to and i fink nanna liked that to becorse later wen she was on her own in the front room me and gaga and mummy cud hear her singing along to the musik and then unkel frank came and franki and then we all went into the back roomand i sat on the big chair and everyone sang happy burfday and then mummy bought in a cake wiv 2 not 5 candels on and i blowed them both out in one big blow so all the practising wiv the lite was worth it and everyone clapped and shouted hip hip hooray and i had lots of cake and chokolate and hummus but not together and then i did lots more playing wiv everyone and had my pikture taken wiv everyone before they went home smile and unkel dave and lukas came and lukas like playing wiv my police van to and i really really like my burfday and all my presents and seeing all my family and eating cake and parties are lots of fun and it was a shame you wasnt there but i was so bizee i didnt really notice and becorse you wasnt there i am having another partee so in sum ways it was gud you wasnt there so i can hav 2 partees and mayb wen i am 5 i can have 5 parteeslots of love

dear daddy
this morning i had a nice time at nursery playing wiv the bricks and outside and mummy picked me up and wen we got home nanna and gaga was there becorse they had been helping mummy at work and they had a tinytalk partee and mummy let me hav one of the chokolate eggs but i fink it was only so she cud have one of nannas cakes and mummy needs to realise that now i am nearlee 2 i am not so gullibel and i had a likkel nap and wen i got up nanna and gaga was still there and we all went to sainsberrys together and then nanna and gag went home and me and mummy did sum puzzels together an my favorit one was a nursery rime bus one and this aftanoon i was a likkel bit grumpee and i fink it is becorse i am exsited abowt it being my burfday tomorrow

dear daddy
the sun must hav liked its rest yesterday becorsse it was back out to play agen today so this morning afta brekfast i plaid nisely wiv my toys wile mummy got our dinna redy becorse she sed we wud hav it wen we got back from visiting unkel franks and she was making silly sossage casseroll and we walked all the way to unkel franks well mummy did i was in my pushchair and wen we got to unkel franks he had sum toys for me to play wiv and mummy and unkel frank talked wile i plaid and then it was time for us to go home and mummy had to carry a big bag wiv my presents in and wen we got home i wanted to open them but mummy sed they were for my burfday and that wasnt until tuesday and i wud have to wait until then so i practised singing happy burfday you happy burfday you happy burfday you and that made mummuy laff and she sed it was gud and everwon wud be singing it to me soon and i will be 2 and afta my yummy silly sossage casseroll i had a nice nap and then i had my tea in the garden and i saw sum bumbel bees and a balloon in the sky and then we went inside and i did sum drawing and i drew a car and a shower and the sun and mummy sed they were abstract whateva that means and then we had a walk to post sum letters for jill becorse she in on holliday and i tuk my dinosaw and mummy showed me 2 burds nests and i showed mummy a cat and i posted the letters in the post box

well atleast we had a slowa start to the day today and i fink even the sun must have felt lazee becorse we didnt see much of it today this morning we went to the libree i like playing wiv the toys there and sitting in the book train and i had a chat wiv the libree laydee becorse she asked me if we was going to the park and i knew we wasnt so i told her jills house but i dont fink she new who jill was and i plaid wiv a girl in the kitchin but she had to go wiv her mummy and then annuva girl came in and i sed hello girl but she didnt ansa me so i sed hello girl lowder but she still didnt ansa me so i roked on the horse insted and i helped mummy choose sum gud books for my bedtime storys and my favorits are maisie mouse bed time and i sang twinkel twinkel like maisie dose to her teddy and i like dont put your finger in the jelly nelly and this aftanoon nanna came and piked me and mummy up and we went swimming and i had a really gud time even though marie didnt get in to the warter but i waved to her and my favorit things are monkee monkee and 123 woosh and laying on my back on the woggel and kicking and mummy sed i was brilliant and i fink she was rite

dear daddy
oh my goodness me i dont know what mummy is trying to do to me but it has bin non stop today we went to the farm this morning but i dont fink it was old macdonalds farm eieio and all my nursery frends were there but it wasnt at nursery and mummy staid wiv me we all plaid on the park there for ages and i can clime up the steps to the slide all by myself now and i bownced on the seasaw wiv evie and then we all sat down and had appel and juisse and then we went to see the aminals and i fed the goats and the cows and the rabits and the cow had a really long tong and it cud put it up its nose and it gave me a big lik on the hand and i wasnt skared of the aminals like sum of my nursery frends were even though one time the goat got a bit xsited and i left my hand in his mowf for to long and he gave me a likkel bite and we all had a piknik at the farm and i really like pikniks and this piknik had sandwiches wiv jam and ham and fish payst and crisps and biskits and more juise and mummy sed i was lucky boy to hav so many treats and it was a gud job she had brought sum pear and blueberrys and razzberrys becorse a likkel boy carnt live on crisps alone although i wud giv it a gud try and afta we went to look at more aminals and then we had to go but we didnt go home we went to a playgroup and i helped mummy sing sum of her tinytalk songs but most of the time i pushed a vacuum cleaner around and a pushchair but then there was annuva lady and so i sat wiv mummy to sing sum songs and i had to be a sleeping easter bunny and i sed sssh and then i shouted wayk up to wayk everyone up and then we still didnt go home but we went to a shu shop and i liked the frog shus but they were to small but i like the piret shus so thats ok and mummy sed i still had to get sum propa shus but there wasnt any in my size and then finally we went home and i fink me and mummy were as tired as each other

dear daddy
well my days arent calming down any i am such a bizee bumbel bee bzz bzz bzz this morning mummy put lots of sun cream on me becorse it was veree sunny agen and mummy sed the cream wud mayke sure the sun wudnt hurt me wich is very cleva and mummy tuk me to nursery and i had lerzanya for dinna and i had a nice time and it was funny becorse nanna came to pick me up not mummy and i showed nanna where muy peg is wiv my bag on it and i was very tired but wen i got bak to nanna and grandads i wanted to play in the garden not sleep but i was tired and my legs were wobblee and i went bump on my bottom so then i thought i had betta hav a milk and sleep and that was betta so i cud play in the garden afta and i sed hello to jed and i ate my beans on toast outside and then mummy cane and she helped me to warter the flowers wiv my wartering can and gaga got the hose pipe out as well and me and mummy ran under the bridge of warter and then nanna and mummy gave me a leg and a wing to see the king bum bum and i showed nanna and gaga how to play simon says and then it was time to come home and i liked to see you on the computa and to show you how to play geetar and mayb i will see you tomorrow and i can tell you what i hav bin doing tomorrow
